Clinical Biochemistry involves the use of biochemical measurements to support the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and monitoring of disease. Measurements are made in blood, serum or plasma, urine, cerebrospinal fluid and other body fluids.

It provides qualitative and quantitative analysis of these biological fluids, and physicians use these test results to screen for, diagnose or monitor diseases.
